Music Review : Khenlouna Khopi by ECT TrioHERE

Muonting, Sangi & Kimpi – ECT Trio

A touching fresh song with simplicity, Although their genre is mostly Gospal songs, in this song there are some variation and openness , Composed by V Pumkhansiam, this song appears in ECT Trio’s Khenlouna Khopi ( ECT Trio Vol 7). ” Hon Honpa sung nisim omtheih le’ng; Tonung lungmuanna hi”.

The video are no less than a regular kind. The editor laid hand on new and already seen motions to give out a clean and presentable format. They, the trio, are ever presentable and pleasing. The lively and robust Sangi manages walking away with even more accorlade this time; Every while she does acts a very decent manner, which shows how much she’s matured. Here older sister Kimpi does demure like always. Muonting, the modest and little coy girl, this time round manages to catch your attention. She’s graceful and does manages to sprang abit.

Papon’ Song and Pranam’s Direction

Where I would go
Where I would go
Where I would go
[Allap, an Indian classical interlude]

Nights of moon and moonlight
Why they needs to come

In every tune
Paintings are drawn

Memoirs of your eyes make me weep at night
And your syrupy grin still makes me laugh quietly

Why tonight all the fire flies are making your picture
Of course I never able to stop thinking about you

Where are you now
For whom you are waiting for now
Songs belongs to whom you are singing now

Then don’t appear in my dream
As devastation is just placed on

Last time I met him on his set and he was shooting for his film. And before that I was with him SRFTI editing room and he was showing me his and diploma films of his fellow students very enthusiastically. Then we were on our own path and have not met again.

Two song – Two Great Artist

An wonderful assamese song “Bisterno parorey” by Bhupen Hazarika was inspired by “Old’ Man River” of Paul Robson and both song are marvelous piece of great musical works .
Paul Robson song:

Hindi version of Hazarika’s Assamese song:

Lyrics of Ol’ Man River

Dare’s an ol’ man cal’d de Mississipi
Dat’s de ol’ man dat I’d lek to be
Whot does he care
iv de world gets trauble
Whot does he care iv de land lev’s free.

Ol’ man river,
Dat ol’ man river
He mus’know sumpin’
But don’t say nuthin’,
He jes’keeps rollin’
He keeps on rollin’ along.

He don’ plant taters,
He don’t plant cotton,
An’ dem dat plants’em
is soon forgotten,
But ol’man river,
He jes keeps rollin’along.

You an’me, we sweat an’ strain,
Body all achin’ an’ racket wid pain,
Tote dat barge!
Lif’ dat bale!
You gits a little drunk
An’ you lands in jail.

Ah gits weary
An’ sick of tryin’
Ah’m tired of livin’
An’ skeered of dyin’,
But ol’ man river,
He jes’keeps rolling’ along.

[Colored folks work on de Mississippi,
Colored folks work while de white folks play,
Pullin’ dose boats from de dawn to sunset,
Gittin’ no rest till de judgement day.

Don’t look up
An’ don’t look down,
You don’ dast make
De white boss frown.
Bend your knees
An’bow your head,
An’ pull date rope
Until you’ dead.)

Let me go ‘way from the Mississippi,
Let me go ‘way from de white man boss;
Show me dat stream called de river Jordan,
Dat’s de ol’ stream dat I long to cross.

O’ man river,
Dat ol’ man river,
He mus’know sumpin’
But don’t say nuthin’
He jes’ keeps rollin’
He keeps on rollin’ along.

(Long ol’ river forever keeps rollin’ on…)

He don’ plant tater,
He don’ plant cotton,
An’ dem dat plants ’em
Is soon forgotten,
but ol’ man river,
He jes’ keeps rollin’ along.

(Long ol’ river keeps hearing dat song).

You an’ me, we sweat an’ strain,
Body all achin an’ racked wid pain.
Tote dat barge!
Lif’ dat bale!
Git a little drunk
An’ you land in jail.

Ah, gits weary
An’ sick of tryin’
Ah’m tired of livin’
An’ skeered of dyin’,
But ol’ man river,
He jes’keeps rollin’ along!

Lyrics of GANGA BEHTI HO KYUN? with English translation

Bisterno varorey, afankhya janore, hahakar sunio nisabdth nirovey,
Bhural *** tumhi, bhural *** bura ki aur……….

Vistar hai apar, praja dono par, kare hahakar ni sabdth sada,
your expanse is unreachable, the public on both sides is wailing silently
Oh ganga tum, oh ganga behti ho kyun?……………..
O Ganges, why do you flow
Vistar hai apar, praja dono par, kare hahakar ni sabdth sada,
Oh ganga tum, ganga behti ho kyun?……………..

Naitikta nasht ***, manavta bhrasht ***,
morality is destroyed, humanity has been corrupted
nirlajj bhav se behti ho kyun?……..
why do you flow in this shameless way
Itihas ki pukar, kare hunkar,
the call of history is roaring

oh ganga ki dhar, nirbal jan ko, sabalsangrami, samagrogrami, banati nahi ho kyun?…………….
Oh flow of Ganges, why don’t you make the weak people stronger, make the villagers unite to fight for their rights
Vistar hai apar, praja dono par, kare hahakar ni sabdth sada,
Oh ganga tum, oh ganga behti ho kyun?……………..

Anparjan, aksharheen, anginjan, khadyoviheen, neatravhiheen,
innumerable people are illiterate, letterless, without food, blind,
dikshmon ho kyun?…….
Why are you not teaching them the path?
Itihas ki pukar, kare hunkar, oh ganga ki dhar, nirbal jan ko, sabalsangrami, samagrogrami, banati nahi ho kyun?…………….

Vistar hai apar, praja dono par, kare hahakar ni sabdth sada,
Oh ganga tum, ganga behti ho kyun?……………..

vayakti rahey, vayakshti nirvighn, sakalsamaj, vayakshtitva rahit,
people stay without sufficient income, the entire society is economically challenged
nishpran samaj, upbhoktina kyun?………..
society is lifeless, why are you unaware / unfeeling of this?
Itihas ki pukar, kare hunkar, oh ganga ki dhar, nirbal jan ko, sabalsangrami, samagrogrami, banati nahi ho kyun?…………….

Vistar hai apar, praza dono par, kare hahakar ni sabdth sada,
Oh ganga tum, ganga behti ho kyun?……………..

Tejasvini, kyun na rahin,
why did you not stay full of glory
tum nishchay, chintan nahin,
you are decided, no worries
prano mey prerna deti na kyun?……………
why don’t you give inspiration to life
Tum madhyavami, kurushetra grami, gangey janani, navbharat mey, bhismarupi sutsamrajey, janati nahi ho kyun?………….
you are flowing through the middle, seen the villages of Kurushetra (where Mahabharat took place), mother of Bhishm (great uncle of Pandavs & Kauravs), in this new India why don’t you give birth to sons like Bhishm again?
Vistar hai apar, praja dono par, kare hahakar ni sabdth sada,
Oh ganga tum, ganga behti ho kyun?……………..
Vistar hai apar, praja dono par, kare hahakar ni sabdth sada,
Oh ganga tum, ganga behti ho kyun?……………..
Vistar hai apar, praja dono par, kare hahakar ni sabdth sada,
Oh ganga tum, ganga tum, ganga tum, oh ganga tum, ganga tum, ganga behti ho kyun?……………..

Ganga behti ho kyun?……………………………….
